On July 16, 2025, a delegation from the Ministry of Construction, led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh, conducted a field inspection of several social housing projects in Thai Nguyen province, including the social housing project in Dai Thang Residential Area (Homie City) invested by TNG Land. Joining the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units.
The social housing project in Dai Thang residential area, started by TNG Land in April 2024, is being built on an area of over 8,400m², including:
01 apartment building with 18 floors and 361 apartments.
34 low-rise townhouses built to social housing standards.
As of March 2025, all 34 townhouses have been handed over to residents. The apartment building is currently about 90% complete and construction is being accelerated to ensure its full completion by September 2025, fulfilling commitments to the management authorities and future residents.
The proposal is practical and meets the needs of the people.
During the inspection, representatives from the investor, TNG Land, proposed converting 20% of the rental apartments into sales units to meet the growing demand for home ownership. This proposal is entirely consistent with the open-ended spirit of the 2023 Housing Law, which no longer mandates a 20% rental rate in social housing projects.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh requested the Provincial People’s Committee and relevant departments and agencies to consider the conversion proposal in accordance with legal regulations, while ensuring a balance of interests between the people and businesses. In addition, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also proposed that the Ministry of Construction continue to support the province in resolving difficulties related to infrastructure connectivity and policy mechanisms, helping the project to be completed quickly and effectively.
The recognition and positive support from the relevant authorities are a great source of motivation for TNG Land to continue pursuing its mission of creating high-quality, desirable living spaces for people with middle and low incomes. The Homie City – Dai Thang project not only contributes to the concretization of the Government’s program of 1 million social housing units, but also demonstrates TNG Land’s efforts to develop sustainable, modern, and humane urban infrastructure in Thai Nguyen.
The apartment building is expected to be handed over in September 2025.
